This week’s question focuses on ways that the average student can better retain the techniques they learn in class.
One point Marcelo made was instead of trying to learn a great number of new moves, focus on drilling a few specific moves. Better to have two or three moves that you can apply with skill than having 20 moves you cannot.
Taking notes, drilling with partners outside of class, repetition, and paying attention to details are all valid ways to increase growth.
Students who compete tend to be more focused on Jiu-Jitsu, and therefore learn more quickly.
